5S is a Japanese methodology to organize the workplace. It has been used in manufacturing and it is starting to be applied also in restaurants.

5S es una metodología japonesa para organizar el espacio de trabajo. Se ha utilizado en grandes compañías y es ideal para aplicarla en restaurants, cocinas y hoteles.

5S helps employees and managers define standards for keeping the workplace organized and clean, looking like brand-new at all times. Everything must be properly set in order, in the right amount without excess, in the right location, and at the right time, in order to both satisfy customers and increase profits. Applying 5S to every restaurant worker’s area results resulted in higher quality and productivity, more space, higher levels of safety and customer satisfaction. And restaurant workers love it!

Se utiliza mundialmente y es ideal para aplicar en restaurant, cocinas y hoteles. 5S ayuda a los empleados y manager a definir los estándares para mantener el restaurant organizado, limpio y eficiente, luciendo impecable en todo momento.   Todo debe tener una función definida, un lugar definido y una cantidad definida en el momento justo para poder satisfacer al cliente y aumentar la rentabilidad del negocio. How

The methodology to apply 5s to restaurants will be introduced in Monthly sessions to a group of local restaurant business owners and managers to learn the basics. Every session will include a short lesson and a walkaround at the restaurant where the visit is held. Hosts will take turns so that everyone gets to showcase their workplace, receive feedback from their peers and build their own action plan!

Cómo

Organizamos un taller de esta metodología todos los tercer martes de cada mes, cada día en un restaurant distinto. Incluye una introducción a la metodología y un recorrido por el local para armar juntos con dueños de otros restaurantes un plan de acción de mejora.
