BEAUMONT, Texas — The Newtron Group is bringing the Southeast Texas fishing community together for a cause with the upcoming Newtron Big Bass Tournament, a fundraising event benefiting Girls’ Haven, Boys’ Haven and the education fund established for the son of the late Hayden Christopher.

Date: October 16th and 17th at the Sam Rayburn Pavilion

The tournament was created as a way to honor Hayden’s memory while making a lasting impact on organizations serving children and young adults in Southeast Texas. Proceeds from the event will support Hayden’s son, Kade, through his education fund, with remaining proceeds benefiting Girls’ Haven and Boys’ Haven.

The event will kick off on Friday with registration, food and an opportunity for participants and supporters to gather before anglers take to the water for tournament day on Saturday. The Big Bass Tournament will bring together anglers, businesses and community members for a weekend centered around fishing, fellowship and giving back.

For Girls’ Haven, funds raised through the tournament will help provide care and opportunities for girls ages 6–18 in the Texas foster care system. Girls’ Haven provides a safe and supportive residential home along with counseling, education, case management, mentoring, life-skills development, clothing, personal needs and recreational experiences.

Boys' Haven is a nonprofit organization committed to providing a safe home, guidance, education, and life skills for boys in need. Their mission helps young men develop the tools necessary to become successful and productive members of our community

In addition to supporting both organizations, the tournament carries a deeply personal purpose for The Newtron Group by honoring the life and legacy of Hayden Christopher and helping invest in his son’s future.

The Newtron Group has committed to continuing the tournament for multiple years, allowing the event and its impact to grow within the Southeast Texas community.

Businesses and individuals are encouraged to get involved through sponsorship opportunities, with a variety of levels available. Angler registration will open closer to the tournament.
